		<description>Keep Us Fresh
This piece was done for the City of Vancouver's Ironclad project that occurs every decade or so. The idea is to create covers for Vancouver's manholes to make people reconsider dumping poisonous chemicals through the storm drains and into our waters.

<description>Do More of What You Love
Words to live by. This is a piece I completed in 2013 for lululemon athletica. Had a lot of fun with this. This wasn't made to validate your sedentary lifestyle. Really find something you love that's also meaningful and do it.

<description>Ingrain is project that tries to get us to reconnect with the magnificence of our natural resources, to get us to think about how they're used and that we should always seek to honour them as best we can.

Vancouver was founded originally as a small logging village. Today, it owes its growth into a world-class city to that same abundance of trees. Unfortunately, nowadays we have little conception of how these local resources are used and because of this, we are liable to abuse them. Through Ingrain, we aim to remind our city that these resources are not to be taken lightly, that they are not here just to serve us. They are 200 year old giants, who have carried us on their backs. If we can convince you of how awesome they are, we've accomplished our mission.

Through a series of print campaigns and geurilla projects, the story of our connection to the Vancouver's wood would be entered into the public's awareness. This all culminates with the installation of a public bench, made from a fallen 205-year-old Douglas fir. This bench is engraved with the mission statement of Ingrain and serves as a symbol of what we can do with materials that were once deemed as waste.

This project was a collaboration with Brian Tong and Rodrigo Caula. Ingrain was presented in the Emily Carr Degree Exhibition 2012 where it received the Aritzia Design Award Honourable Mention. This project was featured through Good.is and BMW Guggenheim Lab.</description>

		<description>The Language of Fashion
What's the purpose of just about everything we do? From the things we say to the clothes we wear. Some have suggested that the only purpose we put any effort into anything is to impress the opposite sex. Inspired by David Bailey's quote "I never cared for fashion much, amusing little seams and witty little pleats: it was the girls I liked."

		<description>Everything Chicago
After joining the design team at lululemon athletica, I was asked to create a piece of custom artwork for a store in Chicago. The Chicago Flag, which consists of two horizontal blue lines and 4 six-pointed stars became the grid on which the city was illustrated.

The final piece was then laser cut into anodized aluminum with various pre-determined objects cutout. Pictures will follow when they're made available by store.

		<description>Levensweg
During my time in Rotterdam, I was always impressed (for good and for bad) with the city's architecture. During the Second World War the downtown core was obliterated, which provided the chance to build skyscrapers and other modern features that many European cities lack. I saw myself, as a foreigner, reflected in that landscape.

I brought with me my culture from a distinctly non-Dutch place and only contributed to making a city already trying to define itself as 'Dutch' feel less so.

For this project, I illustrated some of the landmarks that help give this city that disparate feel from the cranes of the dock to the modern architecture of the Kunsthal. These elements were then combined into a game-board for The Game of Life, with chance cards and all, to emphasize the steps we must go through to meet the city's expectations of what a Dutch way of life is.

		<description>My Visual Graveyard

Where projects go to die.

Here you'll find a collection of images that once had the potential to become something, but because of something else, they exist in a state of purgatory. I really do like some of these images, and because it can be so hard to just scrap a project I'll let you browse through these and just take them at face value. Don't expect an explanation about what they are or supposed to be, just take a moment to reflect on their passing from concept to collecting digital dust in some long lost folder.
